What I have seen lately is a more creative approach to branding using key dÃˆcor items. Not only are the items eye-catching, but they cause a “stir” in the attendees, thus generating the Ã«buzzÃ that each company tries to achieve. Austin Parties Still Strong! Through the eyes of a party rental store, where we build stages, tents and lighting shows for festivals, art shows, athletic events, weddings and corporate & social parties, we have a unique view of Austinâ€™s events. With our current economic atmosphere we have been concerned about our event business. We have been monitoring changes very closely since the beginning of last year. I started doing events in the early 1980s when a boss asked me to plan a multi-city seminar series. I had to contact hotels in each target city (Pittsburgh, DC, Indianapolis, etc.) and get their available dates over a 2-week period. I built a huge chart on graph paper (this was before PCs appeared on everyone’s desks) showing all the availability.
