On Monday, Sept. 9, ISES hosted its monthly free Happy Hour at Stubb’s BBQ from 6-9 p.m., where Austin professionals enjoyed delicious appetizers and excellent drink specials while connecting with friends and colleagues. Committee members met beforehand from 5-6 p.m. to discuss ideas for the 2013-2014 year. Committee meetings are held before every Happy Hour and we invite you to join the meetings and get involved to have your ideas heard! High Beam is looking for administrative help for the SXSW planning season, which runs through mid-April 2014. Duties include evaluating data entry, checking pricing spreadsheets for accuracy, and reviewing contracts and leases. This is not an event planning position. If you have superb office skills, experience with Excel, excellent grammar and spelling, and a maniacal attention to consistency and detail, please send an email with your resume to firstname.lastname@example.org. Libation Innovation Last week’s event took place at the Acton Center. The venue is one of Austin’s newest event centers, has four different event spaces and hosts indoor and outdoor events. Action Center is located on campus at the Action School of Business on Lady Bird Lake near downtown Austin. Upon arrival to Libation Innovation, ISES members were greeted with valet by Central Texas Valet and entered s space beautifully decorated with linens and decor from Marquee Rentals.
