Vintage Villas Hotel & Events has a full-time Wedding/Event Sales Manager position available. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Sales Manager with wedding sales & coordination experience.
Vintage Villas Hotel & Events, a 44 room boutique hotel overlooking Lake Travis, is seeking a Sales Manager to sell group rooms and catering for our growing and newly renovated Event Center.
Selling and coordinating events to meet and exceed revenue goals through event sales, acquiring new clients and growing current hotel accounts
with a profitable win-win selling approach. This is a selling and coordinating position for weddings, social groups and mid-week corporate focused events.
Frequent weekend work may be required.
Selling hotel & event space for meetings, events and overnight accommodations.
Focusing on revenue producing activities and new business
sales efforts to target and solicit companies most probable to generate new
business through creative sales efforts utilizing the hotels existing extensive
vendor network, mapping potential clients, industry associations &
networking. Includes but is not limited to taking sales inquires, follow-up on
leads, generate leads at bridal shows and outside sales events.
Actively selling through, but not limited to, sales calls,
target marketing, and property tours.
Maintain constant communication with the hotel’s key accounts
and build relationships with all existing hotel accounts.
Utilize yield management techniques by profitably
negotiating room rates and function space commitments in order to enhance the
hotel’s financial performance.
Complete all reports and assignments timely and accurately.
Create event orders and communicate with all other departments within the hotel
by attending weekly scheduled meetings. Keep organized and detailed client
Represent him/her self and the hotel with the highest level
of integrity and professionalism, with a service-focused approach and an upbeat
caring sincere attitude at all times.
Exhibit a positive and involved team attitude to all hotel
departments and maintain open communication with all co-workers for the best
overall performance of the hotel.
Actively participate in those community and trade
organizations that most benefit the hotel’s exposure to the community and the
hotel’s bottom line.
Coordinate rehearsals, ceremonies and timeline for events as
needed. Assist with recommendations for choosing the professionals/vendors
necessary to perform all aspects of a wedding. Coordinate meetings to finalize
event/wedding final details with clients.
Show initiative in helping to improve processes for all
sales and events.
Enforces & abides by correct policies, procedures,
cleanliness and safety of work area.
Performs other duties as appropriate for a successful
Position reports to Director of Sales & Marketing.
2+ year’s wedding sales & coordination experience.
Outstanding communication and guest service skills.
Experience in general outside sales techniques – prospecting,
cold calling, blitzing, telemarketing, appointments, sales reporting, attending
industry events, lead generation, yield management and customer service skills,
Ability to tour, meet with clients on and off site, work weekends, attend community events, participate in trade organizations and attend local trade shows.
Hospitality or college degree preferred.
Compensation is competitive with the market and is
combination of salary and bonus based.
